Learning about the justice system...
As we are entering into the Mock Trial competition, one of the organisers came to discuss the UK justice system and talk about the case we'll be involved in.
The children learnt lots of interesting information about the UK justice system and were able to ask questions about how it all works. They found out about the role of a magistrate, the various courts that we have in England and the types of crimes that might be tried in different places.
They also found out about the trial they would be involved in. They will be the prosecuting team and the case involves a young teenager who has been accused of carrying a bladed article.
The children were excited to find out more and ask questions, hoping to gain some useful information for their big day in court.
