World Down Syndrome Day
Today is World Down Syndrome day. It is always on the 21st March to represent the additional 3rd chromosone on the 21st pair.
Yesterday, Tiffanie Smith gave a fascinating worship on Down Syndrome and what causes it. She taught the school some simple sign language and asked us to think about children with Down's and how they are, but for a single chromosone, just the same as everybody else. To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and to recognise the fact that everyone is different we have all worn odd socks!
