Year 6 were set the challenge of decorating their Christmas tree with different decorations but could only spend £30. They could choose between different ornaments, lights, candles and even a pot for the tree but they could not go over £30. The one who got closest to the amount was the winner and received an edible festive reward! 

The children had to use their knowledge of maths to work out how much they'd spent and how much they had left over. There was also a festive discount on the tree pot (if they could work it out!) which was 20% off the price of the pot. 

The children worked hard to figure it out and the trees looked amazing at the end!
