We showed the children diet coke and mint sweets and asked them to guess what they thought we were doing. 
They did! They said we are going to make a volcano.
 

We talked about experiments and how sometimes they don't do what you expect. 
They all predicted that the diet coke would erupt if we put the sweets in but they thought we would have to shake the bottle first.
